Architecture Preview

Details
I think this picture falls into details because of all the basic details it has.

  Light
This one has light in it and the architecture of it was build intentionally so that light
could shine in. This one could also count as patterns because of the repetition seen in it.
Patterns
This one falls into patterns because of the same buildings that are constantly repeated
and impressive as well.
Angles and Shapes
This Picture is part of angles and shapes because of the odd looking building seen in this picture.
It caught my eye quickly and the mirrored like exterior could count as light as well in some way?
Surroundings
This one falls into surroundings for the things around the building like the palm trees and the pool running in the middle.

Earthquake In Japan

This Is Rather Sad and it causes me great empathy on whats going on in japan.. This falls in Avoiding Mergers and Lines. it kinda has some depth also..

I like this picture even if its something bad thats happening.. its still a pretty good picture. it makes me feel bad to see the environment in japan its so  badd. This picture falls into the rule of thirds.
I Like this picture and whoever took it was pretty well prepared. It makes me feel unsecure sometimes because we dont know what might happen and how bad things can happen  in an instant.. this is a Create Depth picture.

Magazine discussion

Cover Types
  1. Early Magazine covers- No photo they were either paintings or drawings all the time.big color spots to highlight it. no date line no price and no barcode. they tended to be very simple
  2. The Poster Cover-The picture and a headline. Some of the disadvantages is that the photo has to be really good to buy it otherwise they will look at it as dull.
  3. Pictures Married To Type-less text than forest of words. most words are on one side.text is involved with the photo.Looks a little boring since there are not many entry points.
  4. In The Forest Of Words.- Words All Over the cover Some in different colors others big others small different fonts. They distract you a lot and sometimes you dont see the full photograph

Stuff that should be on my magazine cover
  • Title
  • Photo
  • Barcode
  • Price
  • Dateline.

Harpers Bazaar magazine cover #15 Harpers Bazaar (April 1965)
This magazine cover of Harpers Bazaar is a photograph of model Jean Shrimpton by photographer Richard Avedon. The cover of Shrimpton peering from behind a bright pink Day-Glo space helmet was designed by Art Directors Ruth Ansel and Bea Feitler. This photograph, with the Harpers Bazaar logo vibrating against it in acid green has been often reproduced as an emblem of the sixties.(Formal)

This Cover Catches my eye a lot. Even if its simple it still keeps you interested well to me. and i really like the color of her helmet its sort of a bright stand-out color. Also Jean Shrimpton is a really pretty girl and i think Richard Avedon did a very good portrait he got close and took a simple but eye catching picture. It may be seem a little dull for some people but everyone has their own taste.

Portrait and Self-Portrait tips and ideas

Tips
  1. Have Fun With It. Be Sexy Be Yourself Be Awesome Be Different Be Creative. Whatever You Do have fun with it. Thats part of the point after all.
  2. Every time you hold your camera to your eye, look for leading lines, foreground elements, frames—anything you can use to lend dynamism to your image. Photographs are two dimensional but it helps if they look and feel three dimensional.
  3. Don't just stand there—sit, squat, lie down. The angle from which you make a photograph can make a dramatic difference.

I like these two pictures because their both environmental and their both nature-like and the in the first one the flowers are really pretty and in the second one the horse is very beautiful.

I Like These Two portraits because they show alot of emotion the two girls are both pretty and their simple.

I like these two photos because of their placement in the second one he is in rule of thirds and he just seems happy and in the first one they both seem comfortable and happy with eachother and the depth from the background is really pretty.

Well I plan to look for sunny places to take my portrait simply because i like when people come out smiling under the sunlight i see it very pretty or a really simple and bright picture.

Welcome Back!

I liked this picture because it has a nice view.It has a lot of lights and a lot of buildings to look at.
This picture is my absolute favorite mainly because i love the exotic colors. This picture looks pretty balanced out and i like how the colors really stand out because of the dark green background.
I like this picture because it has part water part land. The dolphin in the middle is very beautiful  and for some reason there is a plastic bag on his fin im guessing it has a purpose and it just shows how smart dolphins are.
